Black, Queer &
Decolonised
A retrospective from Sans Soucis's residency at Sound Niccolò, selected to showcase their process. This collection gathers the notes and study resources from the communities they encountered while writing in Florence.
This collection is in construction and evolution. It provides links to resources that have been recommended to us which may be relevant to the event with Sans Soucis and further research. Many of these suggestions and ideas have been generously shared by Justin Randolph Thompson, the community of The Recovery Plan, Daphné Budasz and others. These materials on Black, queer and decolonised practices continue to grow and change.
The Recovery Plan
The Recovery Plan is a research center that fosters transnational exchange around Afrodescendent cultures and peoples, designed as a cultural repository, research center and exhibition space that examines the history and contemporary legacy of Blackness in a global context.
Thank you to L'Ornitorinco for hosting the event.
